After a methodical match of constant back and forth Portugal wins. With the score 0-0 the match went in to OT and then decided via the penalty kick. England was dealt a blow when David Beckham went out with an apparent knee injury and Rooney left with a red card. Portugal sealed the victory with the final penalty pick from Manchester United’s Ronaldo.
