Football, Projects and Pasta

by David Finch on October 22, 2006

WOW! What a jammed packed weekend. I’m sitting here winding down after a great weekend. Saturday was a fun day as we watched the Cards and Notre Dame both win exciting games. I couldn’t believe it as Notre Dame came back and won with less then a minute to go. It was pandemonium in the Finch household.

This morning I made a country breakfast with biscuits, bacon, sausage and eggs. There’s nothing more special than to talk about dreams, goals and the future around a table with your kids. It’s interesting to see how your kids are influenced as you hear their stories, priceless stuff! I’m always amazed at their perspective on life.

The afternoon was spent with football in the background and working on projects from the project list. After completing a few personal projects I was able to build the framework for the a new blog that will be the main hub for a new podcast that I’m producing. We’re literally a few days before things go public and I’m so excited as I see things I’ve dreamed about beginning to take shape.

We then rushed out earlier this evening for an awards banquet for our oldest daughter. There we joined about a hundred other parents for a great Italian dinner and then applauded their accomplishments as they received their awards. I’m always proud of my kids and this night was no different.

As this weekend comes to an end, I’m going to answer a few emails and do a little writing. Another weekend is gone and a new week is ahead.

What did you do this weekend?
