Goals aren’t accomplished by mere will power. They happen when the right system is in place.

Today is the 1st of February and you’ve had 31 days to work on your 2010 goals. How are you doing?

In December I sat down and mapped out my goals for 2010. I mapped out business goals, financial goals, personal goals and even goals for this blog. The idea was to create goals that were obtainable, as well as goals that would stretch me. I also broke each goal down into bite-size pieces. So at the end of the day each goal is designed to build upon each other.

Here is the system I’m using to reach my goals.

1. Work from a master list.
2. Mind map and break down each goal into bite-size pieces.
3. Set dates for completion.
4. Review list of goals on a weekly basis.
5. Keep moving – even when you miss a deadline.
6. Eliminate anything that can distract you from reaching your goal.
7. Celebrate small victories.

If they truly are goals you’ll push past your distractions and setbacks and keep moving forward. It’s never to late to start… There is a lot of days left in the year and a lot of things that need to be done.

What is it that you want to accomplish?
