My Three Words for 2012

For the past six years, Chris Brogan has listed three words that have encompassed the foundation of all activity for the upcoming year. While they don’t have the definition of your yearly goals, they do serve as a foundation to keep you on course, as well as build upon.

Over the years, in addition to Chris, I’ve been intrigued by the likes of Chris Penn, CC Chapman and Steve Garfield who have also published their three words. Here are mine for 2012.

Intention
I’m never one that is looking for something to do. As a matter of fact, work and busy are words that could easily define me. However, while I’m always busy a lot of time is wasted doing things that don’t align with my career, business and personal goals. In 2012, I plan to be more intentional in what I add to my workload and bring into my life.

Attraction
While it’s a simple truth, it’s often times forgotten and that is what you think about and what you verbalize you attract into your life.  I have told my daughters since they were babies that you become who you hang out with. In other words, as one ancient text would say, “iron sharpens iron.” In 2012, I plan to be more intentional what I visualize, communicate and what I allow to influence my activities and my future.

Fulfillment
At the end of the day, all of us want to be able to say that every area of life is providing the fulfillment that we imagine. Fulfillment usually comes by being precise with who you are, what are your goals and how you carry out your purpose. In 2012, I intend to make sure that I’m true to my relationships, my career, my future and myself.

There you go… These are my three words for 2012.

If you decide to publish yours, leave a comment with a link in the comments section.
